Andrii Matiukha Foundation Supported Auction for Orphans

In May, a charity auction titled «Buy a Lot from Legends of Ukrainian Sports so that Orphans Can Have a Football Field» took place at the «Dynamo» Stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskyi. Its goal was to raise funds for the construction of a sports ground on the territory of the Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care for Children in Zhytomyr.
The event was organized by the Dynamo Football Club, the Andrii Matiukha Foundation, the Ukrainian Journalists’ National Team, and the «News Center» information agency. The initiative was also supported by philanthropists, who contributed both in person and remotely.
Thanks to the support of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation, valuable sports memorabilia were auctioned off. These included jerseys of Ukrainian national team players with autographs, footballs signed by Andriy Shevchenko and the team, boxing gloves from Vitali Klitschko and Oleksandr Usyk, a sneaker from Serhiy Stakhovsky, as well as a collectible coin from the undisputed world boxing champion.
«Such projects truly demonstrate the power of unity — when sports, charity, and humanity create opportunities for those who need them most», commented Andrii Matiukha, president of the foundation.
New Opportunities for Thousands of Children
The ultimate goal of the initiative is to create a football field that will be accessible not only to orphans but also to about six thousand children from the Zhytomyr region. The new inclusive sports ground is intended to become a space for development, health improvement, and socialization.
