Andrii Matiukha Foundation and Good Donations has provided the “Okhmatdyt” Modern Surgical Equipment

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation, in collaboration with the Good Donations charity, has provided the National Specialized Children's Hospital “Okhmatdyt” with cutting-edge surgical equipment for urgent surgery. The donation includes Ligasure Mariland-type electro-surgical instruments and the Ligasure Exact dissecting tool with a nano-coating.

Roman Zhezhera, head of the urgent surgery department, noted that “Okhmatdyt” performs around 800 surgeries annually, 70% of which are complex or highly complex. The new equipment will allow for at least 70 such interventions, reducing complication risks and shortening surgery duration, which is critically important when working with young patients.

Both devices donated by the organizations are used for “sealing” biological tissues with minimal blood loss during surgery. The technology is applied in both open surgeries and laparoscopic procedures, helping to reduce trauma and postoperative recovery time.

Andrii Matiukha commented that his foundation has supported “Okhmatdyt” multiple times and strives to quickly meet the hospital’s needs for modern equipment: “The specialists here are dedicated to their work. Together with Good Donations, we are doing everything possible to ensure they have access to the best tools and technologies.”

In February of 2025, the Andrii Matiukha Foundation and Good Donations also donated a Thompson retractor system worth over 2 million UAH to “Okhmatdyt”, which has already been used in more than 100 life-saving surgeries. Both organizations plan to continue supporting the hospital in the future.
