Andrii Matiukha Foundation Becomes a Partner of the “Ukrenergo Repair Workers Protection” Project

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation has joined the “Ukrenergo Repair Workers Protection” initiative, aimed at providing Ukrenergo’s technical staff and repair crews with essential first aid skills. The program will include 75 one-day training sessions for company employees.
Since the start of the war, Ukraine’s energy system has been under constant threat. Since 2022, there have been more than 30 large-scale attacks on energy facilities, with over 63,000 sites damaged. At least 160 energy workers have been killed and more than 300 injured. Thirteen Ukrenergo employees lost their lives while simply doing their jobs.
Every day, repair crews work on high-voltage lines and substations, where the risk of shelling remains extremely high. In such conditions, first aid knowledge is just as vital as technical expertise.
Andrii Matiukha Foundation Provides Life-Saving Skills
Around 1,500 employees will undergo training as part of the program. They will learn how to stop bleeding, apply tourniquets, assess the condition of the injured, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Each participant will receive a personal certificate upon completion.
“Energy workers bring us light even after heavy shelling. We must do everything possible to ensure these people have the tools to protect their own lives and the lives of their colleagues. Our project will teach them how to survive until paramedics arrive,” said Andrii Matiukha, founder of the Foundation.
This initiative continues the systematic work of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation. In 2025, the Foundation has already financed the purchase of modern equipment for the urgent surgery department of the “Okhmatdyt” children’s hospital twice and contributed to the “Origami for Ukraine” art installation, which raises funds for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers.
